There are two main points to consider when it comes to bridal beauty. Choosing a make-up that brings out your best features and a hair style that not only looks great but will last you throughout the entire day.

Hair
Most styles today are very contemporary and relaxed. It’s important to choose a style that reflects your personality and makes you feel comfortable.
Deciding to have your hair up or hair down will depend on the style of your dress and what suits you best. A style that pins the majority of the hair up will last all day. If the majority of the hair is down the style will relax gradually over time.
Hair pieces can be used on the day to add volume and length to your chosen style. Padding pieces can also be used to add shape. Hair extensions have made quite an impact over the past few years and are a great option for your wedding day. Clip in pieces can easily be applied and styled into your look. If applied correctly they are undetectable and will enhance your chosen style. The pieces you choose should only be human hair as synthetic hair cannot be heated and will feel and look very artificial.
Start caring for your hair correctly many months prior to your wedding. Invest in a good shampoo and conditioner. Start getting regular trims and colours and treatments to make sure you hair is in good condition. Don’t do anything too radical. Wait till after the wedding to do any dramatic changes.
Make-up
It’s important to choose a make-up look that is going to compliment you. Make-up on your wedding day should be used to enhance your natural features and compliment your hair style and gown. Flawless skin, defined eyes and a hint of colour on the cheeks and lips is the choice for many of today’s brides.
When searching for make-up looks collect references where the models features represent your own. We often associate a likeness to someone's features and not the actual make-up.
Airbrush make-up is an industry breakthrough and gives a flawless application. It is wonderful for covering imperfections whilst still being able to achieve a natural look. Depending on the formula used it may also be waterproof providing a long lasting finish. One of my favourite enhancers are false lashes. Flared pieces can be used on the edge of the eye and are undetectable. A variety of strip pieces are also available which your make-up artist should have in their kit.
Waterproof makeup such as mascara and concealer are essential. Make sure make-up artist has these items in their kit to use on the day.
Do not use a lipstick that is too dark if the eye makeup is strong unless you are aiming for a periodic look.
It’s ok to request a preferred product. You may have a shade of lipstick you love that you want to use on the day. Don’t be afraid to mention this to your make-up artist.
